Dairy Free Chocolate Chip Cookies
There are few things better than hot, melty chocolate chip cookies fresh out of the oven. This recipe uses vegan butter and dairy free chocolate chips so it’s safe for anyone with dairy sensitivities.
Chewy, buttery cookies with warm, melted chocolate in every bite. Offer these Dairy Free Chocolate Chip Cookies to anyone and I guarantee, they won’t have a clue that they’re not full of butter.
I’ve become pretty accustomed to the dairy free life. There are so many alternatives that, most of the time, I don’t feel like I’m missing out on much. Now that my oldest is dairy free too, I have to get creative and branch out a bit. It’s good that he doesn’t really know what he’s missing, but I still want him to experience a wide variety of foods.
So of course, we need a recipe for chocolate chip cookies!

Ingredients:
Chocolate Chips
Dairy free chocolate chips vary widely in their ingredients. I’ve only tried a couple but I really like Enjoy Life. They’re gluten free, vegan and free of most major allergens, so they’re great for just about any special diet.
Plant Based Butter
I’ve been mostly dairy free for a few years, but it wasn’t until I started nursing my second child that I had to give it up entirely because of his sensitivity to it. For that reason, I’ve only tried one plant based butter. But honestly, it’s so close to the real thing, I don’t feel like I’m missing anything.
Earth Balance has organic and soy free options, so if you haven’t tried it, give it a shot. They even make it in sticks, which is what I used for these cookies, though they can be a little harder to find.
I do hope you make these cookies. If you do, you might as well go all the way and make these Dairy Free Ice Cream Sandwiches too!
